I cant wait to see this piece coming together for 'Sensorium'. Lots of technical issues and perceptual+image experiments to do yet.
I received the necessary materials to start building my Fluorescent sculpture this week.

"We have been brought up to believe that the mind is located inside the head. But there are good reasons for thinking that this view is too limited. Recent experimental results show that people can influence others at a distance just by looking at them, even if they look from behind and if all sensory clues are eliminated. And people’s intentions can be detected by animals from miles away. The commonest kind of non-local interaction mental influence occurs in connection with telephone calls, where most people have had the experience of thinking of someone shortly before they ring. Controlled, randomized tests on telephone telepathy have given highly significant positive results. Research techniques have now been automated and experiments on telepathy are now being conducted through the internet and cell phones, enabling widespread participation." I have been invited to exhibit in April, I shall keep the information under wraps until its definite. I have sent a brief proposal outlining the work I would like to create for the show. Until I get the go ahead I shall prepare.
Below is an experiment, just playing around with paper paint samples. Does not work as well as a much simpler piece though so might just store it away. Currently finishing off one piece for the solo show and moving on to purchasing materials for the next few pieces. I shall have to spend a good bit of time researching first. I had a few weeks of difficulty due to 'unknown errors' in the rat sculpture piece electronics. A friend over at http://www.clockworks.ie/ helped me out and its working great now. Turned out electromagnetic radiation was triggering the sensitive Arduino.
