Sensorium Talk July '12 Heres some footage from a talk given around the time of Sensorium (July 2013). This was planned to be a discussion between Anna Crudge and I but as she was unable to attend I discussed the piece and how they came about. Part 2 is a little glitchy in one or two parts.

http://richmondroadstudios.com/index.php?/artists/richard-forrest/ The Show and Tell evening was great. I always enjoy talking in public and it was a real challenge this time as I had only 30 seconds to speak about each slide. Great adrenaline from squeezing in all that info.
Heres some info on the Show and Tell: The Visual Artists Ireland 'Show and Tell Evening', provides artists with the opportunity to give a presentation on their practice in an informal setting where they can network and meet people with similar ideas and interests. The fifth VAI Show and Tell evening took place on the 12th of September at the 126 Gallery, Galway. The presenters included Ceara Conway (www.cearaconway.com), Nuala Ní Fhlathúin (http://nuaealain.wordpress.com/), Richard Forrest (www.richardforrest.info), Ruby Wallis (www.rubywallis.com), Joyce Little, Tom Meskell (www.tommeskell.com) and Una Spain (www.unaspain.com). Organised by VAI, Membership Officer, Adrian Colwell. — at 126, Artist-run Gallery Heres some video documentation of the light based pieces from my second solo show 'Sensorium' which was exhibited throughout June in Soma Contemporary Waterford. After much enjoyable work with Google Sketch-up I feel like I need a more flexible and advanced design platform. Rhino 3d is an industry standard so I shall play around with it and see it its good. This defiantly seems like a more complex and rewarding program. This program is often used to design models for 3d printing. I have previously used a 3d printer for a piece in my degree show and also for an exhibition 'The Reading Room' which took place in the Crawford Gallery
This Thursday the 12t I will be presenting as part of Visual Artists Ireland 'Show & Tell'. This series of short presentations shall take place in the 126 Gallery, Galway.
