Over the last few months I have used specialist fabricators to make certain elements of my artworks. I find this approach very fruitful and I am learning much from this logistical role. Currently I am working with a plastics company to cut individual parts for a small piece and a stainless steel specialist to create a custom base for one of my sculptures. Once the funding and idea is there I find the professionals involved are very helpful even giving me a tour of their facility and machines.
