This week I had a studio visit by Anna Crudge who will be curating my upcoming solo exhibition 'Sensorium' and Killian Barton who will also be involved in the project. Killian is currently a post graduate researcher in the field of surface science.
"Surface Science deals with fundamental experimental and theoretical studies in the physics and chemistry of surfaces, interfaces and nanostructures. It covers topics contributing to a better understanding of basic phenomena occurring on surfaces; the word "surface" being interpreted to include all interfaces between solids, liquids, polymers, biomaterials, nanostructures, soft matter, gases and/or vacuum."
We discussed both Killian's work and 'Sensorium' in great detail and I think by the end of the discussions there was a fantastic feeling of excitement in the air. I shall keep Killians contribution a secret until the time is right. Which shall be soon.
Sensorium will open to the publin late June and shall take place in Soma Contemporary in Waterford.
